Wallis Blue Lace Shift Dress reviewed
My next review in my ‘life begins at 40’ series is the dress I actually wore for my birthday celebrations yesterday. It was gifted by one of my favourite brands, Wallis, and came in a stunning deep blue shade that my mom has long exclaimed to be ‘my colour’. The blue lace shift dress is a gorgeously vibrant 60s style frock. It has a double layer effect, with a sort of crocheted lace top layer, and then a stretchy block underlayer. With no buttons or zips, this is a style you simply put over your head, and the nature of the fabric means no ironing is required – making this…

Celebrity fashion with Jenna Louise Coleman, Lucy Watson and Amanda Holden
This week, the celebrity style focus ranges from the casual to the sleek. There is a look at some of the Style for Stroke t-shirts that will be raising valuable funds for stroke research and have been designed by a host of well-known names from TV and music. These casual looks will be perfect for festival season. A complete contrast are the beautiful dresses worn by Amanda Holden and Loose Women’s Jane Moore which are definitely perfect for a night out. Amanda’s dress is from Gorgeous Couture and shows just how amazing she is looking at the moment. Jane’s dress is a Wallis look and comes in a range of…

Wallis Dress Event
Over the last few seasons, Wallis has excelled itself when it comes to producing gorgeous collections of dresses, and, with Summer just around the corner, the latest collection is almost here. The lovely ladies from Wallis invited me to Wallis HQ last week to take a look, and I was absolutely smitten by so many of the styles I viewed. From beautiful maxi dresses, to 1960s style beaded shifts, to bright summer friendly colours, to muted neutral shades, Wallis has decided that there should be a dress for any woman and any occasion, and they have gone out and created one. I want them all! As well as dresses, there…

Reviewed – Wallis Red Daisy Fit and Flare dress
A couple of weeks ago I wrote about my favourite picks from the new season pieces at Wallis. (You can read that post here.) The pieces I was most drawn to were the 1940s style tea dresses that came in a range of colours, and were floral and feminine. The lovely people at Wallis offered to send me one of the dresses to review, and I opted for the bright prettiness of the Red Daisy Fit and Flare dress. This was one that had caught my eye from the start. I love bright colours and prints, and this dress definitely had a real feel of springtime about it. I was…

Wallis Definitives Collection – Monochrome Magic
I love colour in my wardrobe, but sometimes it is good to see the world in black and white. And that may be why I am in love with the latest collection from Wallis. Called the ‘Definitives collection’, this is a range of black and white pieces designed to be mixed and matched for the ultimate in minimalist, elegant styling. What is the collection like? This collection seems to be inspired by the Kings of minimalism- Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren, with lots of clean lines, sheer panels, and some great jackets. Add in some elements of Donna Karan and Victoria Beckham (the lace insert dress reminds me of the…
